The next San Diego School of Theology semester begins in February 2017.

 

THEO 101
Christian Beliefs

An eight-week course covering a range of beliefs essential to the Christian faith. Topics include: the existence of God, the truth of the Bible, the nature of human beings, the person and work of Jesus, salvation, the Church and our mission in San Diego. This class is necessary for membership in The Resolved Church.

Meets Sundays at 1:00pm at The Resolved Church taught by Pastor Ryan Buss starting February 12.

 
 

 
 

THEO 102
Christian Living

An eight-week cohort learning course covering a range of practices essential to the Christian life. Topics include: giving, community, serving, worship, personal stories, the spiritual disciplines, missional living and caring for the soul. This class is necessary for leadership in The Resolved Church.

Meets Wednesdays at 6:30pm at The Resolved Church taught by Pastor Dennis Frey starting February 15.

 
 

 
 

THEO 201
Missional Living

An eight-week cohort learning course covering the Great Commission and living as a Christian in a non-Christian world. Participants will read Friend of Sinners by Harvey Turner and work on various discipleship projects.

Meets Sundays at 1:00pm at The Resolved Church taught by Pastor Dave Maddox starting February 19.

 
 

 
 

THEO 400
Preaching Practicum

The goal and design of this course is to both develop new preachers and help current preachers get better at their craft. The first session is an overview of healthy homiletics. Every other session involves giving a 30 minute sermon followed by a 30 minute class critique. This class meets once a month for four months.

Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00am at The Resolved Church taught by Pastor Duane Smets starting March 1.
